Pumpkin Farm

We went to the pumpkin farm the day before Halloween. It was so much fun! The kids had a blast.

I wanna shoot some hoops!

I had Kyle, Haley, Cody, and Zachary at my house last Monday. It was so fun to have all of the over. I don't get to spend a lot of time with Zachary, so this was a rare pleasure. We were out on the basketball court, playing ball, and Zachary would grab the ball, and say, "I wanna shoot some hoops." It was so cute to watch him walk up and shoot. If you haven't seen him yet, he's 2 1/2, and the littlest thing. He seriously can still wear 18 months clothing.

Utah 2009

I had the best time in Utah. Such a short trip, but so many amazing experiences. Mya's baptism, Tess's blessing, and just hanging out, playing games. I love you all, and am so greatful to be apart of these amazing experiences in your life. I'll be sending a disc of all the pictures that I took soon!

I'm a Dinosaur...

OK, so I'm sitting in my film class minding my own business when we start to discuss the new film that we are about to watch. My teacher starts talking about how during WW2 women were in the work force, and finally knowing that they could do the same work that men could do, when he suddenly says, "and some women are still dinosaurs because they think a woman's place is in the home." My first thought was, did he really just call me a dinosaur? OK, so maybe according to his thought process, I am. I had a really interesting conversation with a friend on Sunday. He thought that part of the problem with society today is that women are abandoning their families for other things such as work, school, things that society tells us will fulfill us. He's right. So many families have been torn apart because we begin to listen to what society as coined as the "norm". What kills me is that I would love the opportunity to be a mom, and a wife. Those are the most important things that any woman can do with her life. So call me a dinosaur if you wish. I know what's important, and I'll happily wear that title!

My last day in Primary

My first primary class.


Today was my last day in Primary. It was a little bittersweet. While I am ready to move on to my new calling as the Beehive teacher, I'm a little sad. When I first left student ward, and went to a family ward, I was immediately called into Primary. I have loved the years that I have spent in Primary. I love the children there, and have strengthened many friendships over the years. The first class that I had, I had the opportunity to move up with them as they progressed in Primary. I was their teacher for almost 3 years. I love them. I love all of the kids that I have had the pleasure of spending my Sundays with. I have learned more from them then they ever learned from me, and I will be eternally greatful for the blessings of being a primary teacher.

More Funny Faces

I love to take pictures. While I love to take pictures of anything, I'm usually behind the camera so I seldom get to be the subject of one. The only way I really want to be the subject of a picture is if there is someone else in it with me. I couldn't resist posting these. Jared and Dallin love to make funny faces and have pictures taken of them. I couldn't resist.

Tradition

Alana calls it a tradition. Last year on the the first day of school, I picked her up, and we went to Costco for lunch. At the end of the school year in June, I picked her up on the last day and we went to lunch at Costco, this time bringing my nephew Kyle along. Today, being the first day of school, I picked her up, and we got Kyle, and went to Costco for lunch. I'm so glad that she wants to do this with me. It's a lot of fun to have our own tradition. I hope we can keep it up for a long while!

Goodbyes are never easy.

Saying goodbye is never easy. We all met at the Jones' house at 8 am on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 to see Bill and Linda Jones off. I am so sad to see them go, but so excited for them. I know that they are super excited to be serving their mission. A lot of time and preparation has gone into this decision, and it has been really interesting to watch their house be cleared out. I will miss them, but look forward to seeing them soon!

Crazy hair and movies...

Kyle, Courtney, and Alana came over and we watched The Tower of Terror. It was lots of fun to hang out with these guys.

Kyle is in desperate need of a haircut. It's nearly immpossible to convince him that he needs one. He stayed the night at my house the other night, and after he showered, I had to take this picture. Completely out of control. It looks like he stuck his finger in a light socket.

These boys were so great. It had already been a long day at the Temple, and they boys were already pooped, and the reception was still going on that night. Annette is a amazing. She always knows what to do. She gave the boys her IPod, and they shared the headphones, and listened to Simon and Garfunkel all the way home!
