My Grandpa, My Hero

I thought that this photo would be super appropriate today. I love this man, and miss him very much. He passed away at the end of my senior year of high school. He was an amazing man, who served his country during World War Two. He was stationed at Pearl Harbor when it was attacked, and lost some very good friends. He served his country valiantly, and loved his family more than life! I still get very emotional when I think about him. He always made me laugh, and always made me feel so special. I am a better person because he is my grandfather, and look forward to the reunion that we will have one day. Thanks for all you did Grandpa. You're my HERO!

It really is difficult to take a bad picture of these kids. They are all so photogenic. I especially love the pictures of Dallin and Caitlyn, and Alana and Courtney.

Just Silly

I love these photos because they really capture how much fun this family is!

More family photos

We found this amazing spiral walkway in Marysville. The kids loved it. They could run up and down, and I got some great shots too!

I love this photo. It is so sweet.

West Family photo shoot

On Saturday Afternoon we went out in Marysville to take family pictures for the West Family. It was so much fun. At first the kids weren't super happy about having the pictures taken, but once they got into it, it was a lot of fun!

I love this picture of Val and Jerry!

Bryn is so dang cute. I love that her hands are in between her legs.

I took a bunch of her just sticking out her tongue.

What a fantastic family the Wests are! I am so blessed to have their friendship!

More of Senessa's Shower

I love this picture of Becky and Bella!

So, I stole a few pictures from Kerri! Senessa looks so cute here!

I really love this picture of Becky and Kerri! They are both so pretty!

I actually look ok here. I'm a little surprised by this!

Senessa's Baby Shower

Kerri threw an amazing baby shower for Senessa! The food was fabulous, and Senessa got so many things for Ross! We played a few games, and I won one of the prizes!

Checking candy is the first thing you do when you get home! After all, who wants to wait too long to dig in!

Aubrey was such a cute little witch! I loved her costume.

Once Luke got the idea of trick or treating, watch out, he was on a roll! I loved the bum of his costume. So dang cute.

I love this picture. I think that it's so sweet that Bryn is walking with her mom, holding her hand.

This house was awesome. There were so many pumpkins!

More Halloween

Tessa is a beautiful butterfly!

What a silly little kitty!

Trying to get a group shot of 10 kids is nearly impossible! Poor Lukey really didn't want his picture taken that night!

Courtney was a terrific soccer player, notice the blood, black eye, and dirt. She rocks!

Halloween 2009

Caitlyn really is a little devil!

What a cute ninja turtle, and little kitty!

You'd think that Jerry would know better by now...if I have a camera, I'm going to take your picture!

What a scary vampire!

More Pumpkin Farm Photos

Pumpkin Farm

We went to the pumpkin farm the day before Halloween. It was so much fun! The kids had a blast.

I love this picture of Dallin. So much joy! This is what childhood is all about!

I was so glad to get this picture. You'll notice Mike in the middle. Seriously hillarious!

It was hard to get all of the kids in looking at me. One on the end is missing.

I wanna shoot some hoops!

I had Kyle, Haley, Cody, and Zachary at my house last Monday. It was so fun to have all of the over. I don't get to spend a lot of time with Zachary, so this was a rare pleasure. We were out on the basketball court, playing ball, and Zachary would grab the ball, and say, "I wanna shoot some hoops." It was so cute to watch him walk up and shoot. If you haven't seen him yet, he's 2 1/2, and the littlest thing. He seriously can still wear 18 months clothing.

Utah 2009

I had the best time in Utah. Such a short trip, but so many amazing experiences. Mya's baptism, Tess's blessing, and just hanging out, playing games. I love you all, and am so greatful to be apart of these amazing experiences in your life. I'll be sending a disc of all the pictures that I took soon!

I'm a Dinosaur...

OK, so I'm sitting in my film class minding my own business when we start to discuss the new film that we are about to watch. My teacher starts talking about how during WW2 women were in the work force, and finally knowing that they could do the same work that men could do, when he suddenly says, "and some women are still dinosaurs because they think a woman's place is in the home." My first thought was, did he really just call me a dinosaur? OK, so maybe according to his thought process, I am. I had a really interesting conversation with a friend on Sunday. He thought that part of the problem with society today is that women are abandoning their families for other things such as work, school, things that society tells us will fulfill us. He's right. So many families have been torn apart because we begin to listen to what society as coined as the "norm". What kills me is that I would love the opportunity to be a mom, and a wife. Those are the most important things that any woman can do with her life. So call me a dinosaur if you wish. I know what's important, and I'll happily wear that title!
