Saturday Soccer

I have the privildge of spending Saturday's watching Haley play soccer. This season, my friend Val's kids are playing too. Haley has become good friends with Val's kids, and a couple of Saturdays ago, Haley and Courtney had to play against each other. Cheering for both of them was a lot of fun!

So, I was going through some old scrapbooks, and saw this picture. I can't believe that this was almost 10 years ago. In case you're wondering, I'm a dead prom queen.

I love when you find old photos.

A conversation with Dallin

Dallin: Where's Zachary at?
Me: He's at his Mom's house.
Dallin: Is he your baby?
Me: I don't have a baby. Am I married?
Dallin: Yes
Me: Who am I married to?
Dallin: Me, you're married to me.

Hilarious!

Sad Kitty

Dallin is staying at my house until tomorrow night. It's been so wonderful just to hang out with him by himself, and have a little one on one time. Today we walked over to Coleen's house and hung out there. He played with Trev, and Coleen and I painted their faces. Kenzie, Adam, and Alexa were there too.

Dallin's paint kept coming off, so I told him that when we got back to my house I would use different paint. I did, and after 5 minutes, he was ready to have it off of his face, but not before I took these pictures. He said that he was a sad kitty... I love this kid!

A few weeks ago, I went to Travis' basketball game. It was hilarious! I love the way that 6 year olds play ball. Lots of jumping up and down, and traveling. It was a lot of fun, and Kyle has decided that he is going to be Travis' own personal coach. This should be interesting.

Lamda Delta Sigma

Some of my very favorite people in the world are in this picture. Wendy posted it on her facebook, and I had to put it on my blog. This had to be almost 10 years ago. Crazy, huh

Mad Skills

Because of my work schedule, I have only been able to go to a few of Kyle's games. This was the last one that I was able to go to. His team was up for most of the game, but they got a little cocky, and almost lost. He's so much fun to watch. I can't believe that he's old enough to not only play ball, but to excel at it. I know that I'm his aunt, and a bit bias, but he really does have mad skills on the court.

Nothing's sweeter than a friend

I saw these two sitting in front of my T.V. the last time I tended them at my house, and I couldn't resist. They are so cute together.

A new favorite...

"Life's journey is not traveled on a freeway devoid of obstacles, pitfalls, and snares. Rather, it is a pathway marked by forks and turnings. Decisions are constantly before us. To make them wisely, courage is needed: the courage to say, 'No,' the courage to say, 'Yes.' Decisions do determine destiny.

"The call for courage comes constantly to each of us. It has ever been so, and so shall it ever be." -President Thomas S Monson

Oh Christmas Tree

I decorated for Christmas tonight. I'll take more pics, and post them later, but I had to rearrange a few things in the living room. Haley thinks I should leave it this way. We'll see, maybe it will grow on me.

I took these pictures with my new cell phone. I love them these kids. What a joy they are!

Kyle drove on the way out to Val's the other day. Can you tell that he's enjoying himself?

Alana just celebrated her 12th birthday. Just a few pics of them getting ready for the party.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALANA

Happy Birthday Alana,

I can't believe that you are 12. I remember very clearly being at your house right after you were born, and holding you for hours while your mom slept. You were special then, and you are special now. You are an amazing young woman, who is compassionate, loving, and intelligent. I am so glad that I know you. I hope that you have an amazing birthday, and your birthday party rocks!

Way to go Kyle!

I went to Kyle's basketball game on Tuesday. He played really well, even though he was kinda ticked that he didn't get to play more. He's team lost this time, but I got a message on my cell tonight from him calling me to let me know that they won tonight! Way to go Kyle! I'm so proud of you, and love you so much!

I Voted!!!!!

This is such a huge thing for me. I know that other people feel this way too, but let me explain why I feel this way. I am so grateful that I live in this country. I am grateful that we enjoy the freedoms that we have. Like many people, I have had members of my family serve in the armed forces. The sacrifices that they made will not be forgotten. My grandfather was stationed at Pearl Harbor when it was attacked. I can't imagine how scary it was for him, but I also know that he wouldn't change it. I love my country. I love that I have a voice in how my government is run. My voice matters, and I think that it would be incredibly wrong not to use that voice, so I voted today. My voice will be heard!

Fun at Aunt Jenny's

Yesterday Kyle, Haley, and Zachary stayed the night at my house! It was a first for Zachary. It was so much fun to finally have him here. So everything was going really well yesterday afternoon while we were waiting to pick Kyle up from his basketball practice, and I have had the same conversation with Haley over and over again. No Cartwheels in the house. You'd think that after telling her not to do it about 400 times, she'd get the picture. Well yesterday she saw the consequences of doing cartwheels. She did one, and Zachary was right behind her, and POW, right in the forehead. The poor little thing was kicked in the head by his sister, and instantly had a huge bump on his noggin! He cried for a minute, and then was just fine. Haley then went to get some frozen veggies so I could bring the swelling down, and a roll of hamburger fell out of the freezer, and got Haley's foot. Karma as Kyle calls it! Barring all of the little incidences, it was so much fun to have them all at my house. We did miss Travis though, so we'll have to make sure that he's with us next time.

Trick or Treat

I hung out with the West Family on Halloween! I went over to their house early Friday morning, and helped Alana get ready for school, and then did the make-up for the other kids that night. It was alot of fun, and brought back some memories of when I use to be so excited to go trick or treating!
